The flying has been pretty good at Funston the last week - making good use of my time off from work.
Today was no exception...
Arrived mid-afternoon to find Brian in the air and a ton of PG's at Westlake - it was time to set up - quickly!
Once in the air, I chased Brian down to Westlake and navigated all the PG's - fortunately, the lift was everywhere - in no time I was happily floating above the bobbing jelly fish sometimes clearing their turns - sometimes not.
It was a mild shear from what I could tell - there was a mixing layer between 700 and 900 feet - then super smooth ridge lift up to 1240' for CRV today - fun time.
Ended the day after 2-hours wanting more - thank you Carm for the beer!
