At 5:01 I had the key in the ignition and was on my way to the Fort...
When I arrived, I thought it may have blown out, but the wind was smooth and almost straight in at 23 mph...I decided to set up the Sport 2 and give it a go. Glad I remembered the bar mits because it was cold, too.
After a quick set-up and preflight, I was hooked in and ready to go...the wind at launch was smooth and strong...in no time I was a couple hundred feet above launch in some of the most buoyant air I'd flown in a long time. I boated around for 35 minutes, then landed as the wind would switch SSW once in a while...still doable, but with little beach, I opted to leave the air wanting more.
Nice evening at the Fort...some of the best flights are after a long day of issuing red tags, writing green building ordinances, and dealing with the insane public.
35 minutes...
