First Week with the "Flamer"

I have been really enjoying my T2C over the past week. All of my flying has been at Funston which is a great site to break in and get to know a new glider.

This past Sunday, I had more time in the air to get to know its flying characteristics...great blog post by Mr. Foster HERE from that day, as well...cool aerial pics.

The glider had a slight right turn in it at slow speeds...at first I thought the turn might have been my imagination, but it became more and more evident with each flight. Marginal Mark suggested a 2/3rds tightening of the bolt that adjusts the tip wands, so I did that with the right wing tip...problem solved. The glider felt true and straight at slow speeds after that slight adjustment.

I'm making gradual adjustments to the new bird as I get dialed-in to it. Sunday I pulled the VG stop and moved the hang point forward....we'll see how that works. Later on I'll drop the sprogs slightly to reduce pitch pressure...after that I think I'll have the wing perfectly tuned for my liking.

The new bird is a bit stiffer than my prior T2, but the enhanced performance is much appreciated. With each flight I grow more and more attached to the wing and can't wait to get it out on a thermal site for some cranking and banking in mountain air.

More later...
