Windy Hill

It's been a while since I've posted and I know you're all thinking, "Where has that totally awesome pilot been?"...Well, here I am in my humble glory.

Ace comp pilot Brian Foster and I flew Windy Hill a couple weekends ago...the conditions were looking a bit sketchy Bay Area-wide, so we opted for the light easterly winds blowing at Windy Hill...

Windy Hill is located right above Portola Valley and is a gem of a flying site. I'm surprised such a site is still open to hang-gliders to be honest. When the winds are blowing hard from the east or northeast, then Windy Hill is a good site to consider...

Here is a video of Brian Foster landing at Windy Hill...the LZ is fairly restrictive and flying at Windy Hill requires an RLF sign-off on your USHPA card.
