Got in some good flying over the Memorial Day weekend.
Started out with a very short flight at Marina on Saturday...the winds were too much from the south for me, but I did end up flying almost 3 to 4 miles down the dunes for a nice hike back...another ACP XC flight by CRV!
3 gliders ready to be flown at Marina...each glider had it's own story to tell at the end of the day on Saturday!
Moving on...
Then I got in a good couple hours on Sunday at Funston on the Sport 2...not much to report other than fun buoyant conditions that day.
But, Memorial Day was the really good day at Funston.
Got in close to an hour of some nice strong shear conditions with JT and Eric Brainard at Westlake...felt the air begin to change, so decided to head back sooner than normal.
Small video from the day...
1st Flight: 12 minutes (no bueno air)
2nd Flight: 54 minutes
Altitude: 1475' MSL
