The weather cleared Saturday and delivered some pretty decent flying conditions at the Fort for all of us to enjoy.
I was able to catch these two gliders mating over at Westlake...Note also the "dormant" slide along the back yards of the homes below...it's just a matter of time...
The ever-growing slide licking its way toward the church...
Another wingtip shot looking toward the City...
John Simpson came up to say hello...
View toward Pacifica...
View to the north...
A great reason to stay out of the way of departing SFO traffic...
A great day in the air...
The first flight was nice and smooth with super buoyant air, but there was some weather developing a few miles out on the ocean. Sure enough the wall of grey sky moved its way inward, so we hustled to the LZ and hunkered down while it passed dropping a little rain. Afterward, the flying conditions were a bit more choppy, so I cut my flight short at 26 minutes and decided a beer was a better option.
1st Flight: 1 hour, 2 minutes
2nd Flight: 26 minutes
