I was in a spot and pissed at myself for getting there. Time was not on my side either with the tide rolling in. I had to get my gear up the cliff, so I ran with my glider to what I thought was a clear area south of the sewer pipe...wrong...more rocks south of the sewer pipe as the waves came crashing in. I actually thought I might have to leave the glider there over night and come back later the next morning when the tide was lower...
Then...off in the distance...I saw a struggling figure tumbling down the face of the cliff...with...with my glider bag in his had...it was Ace Comp Pilot John Taylor. He saw a brother's need and came to the rescue...what a guy!
John helped break down my glider and hike it up the steep cliff face...I couldn't have done it without him!
John, I owe you dinner, beer, and a retrieve from the beach! You are the dude...thank you!
