Ed Levin Speed Gliding 2010...a success!
We had about 25 pilots show up for the event and flew 50 flights on Saturday...Sunday, the fog would not lift, so we called the meet at around 1pm and started the award ceremony and ate what was left of the BBQ...what a great success this event turned out to be!
I've already got my eyes set on Ed Levin Speed Gliding 2011...

Apparently, I had one of the better course speed runs, but incurred a few penalties due to not getting into the altitude gates low enough...lessons learned. It was nice to receive one of the custom built trophies by Brian Horgan, though...looks nice next to the others!
Organizing a hang-gliding event and having it be a success is extremely rewarding...the time we put into the course layout was great fun, and of course, none of this could have happened if it were not for the volunteers who helped with timing and monitoring the altitude gates.
