I found this video of a Funston shear I flew 8.6.09. A shear at Funston is basically two horizontal air masses, one flowing over the other. Each shear is like a snowflake...no two are alike. I've flown in both nice mellow shears and less friendly shears that gradually blew out...then of course, there are all the varying shears in between...like I said...no two are alike.
In this particular clip, I was trying to give an aerial audio tour, but the little mic on the camera was having nothing to do with the wind...I'm looking forward to more Funston shears in 2010.
