Funston 8.1.09

No pictures today as it was overcast, but the flying was good. The ceiling kept creeping up and down, at times crowding pilots along the ridge when there was more than a half dozen of us.

Today, the traffic didn't bother me like it has in the past. I'm more in tune with anticipating what others will or will not do, so I seem to have more control over the airspace when it's crowded. When all else fails, zip up and down the ridge nice and low, or get high and watch everything below.

Brian Horgan and Jay Bird made the trip from the Modesto area and got in some good flights until it was time for Brian to land...that damn rotor. Bent metal is something that can be replaced...it was good to fly with them.

Regardless, it was a good time and the new truck is showing signs of being a great HG vehicle.

Flight time: 2.5 hours
