McClure 3.21.09
I had a feeling McClure would be the right call given the weather conditions for Saturday...as it turns out, it was the right call, but if you launched too early, you didn't get that great of a flight. Things were switching around pretty good when I got up to launch...north, then straight in, then everything turned really south. I backed off and waited for everything to blow back straight in and it paid off...
The first thermal was the silver platter ride up to 3927' and that is the highest I'd get the entire flight...I stayed well above launch for the better part of the entire flight playing with Brad and his rigid glider, as well...KM was playing around by Horseshoe, but I never ventured over there deciding to instead stay around launch and the LZ...great time.
