Lakeview Nationals ~ Day Four (Evening Glass-Off)

Road trip!

High winds resulted in a no fly day for us today, at least for the comp...Wendy and I again explored the back country areas during the day heading east to Adel, then north to Plush, up to Hwy 395, and back to Lakeview for a flight off Black Cap...

Here are some pictures we've taken to date...

Lakeview Nationals 2008

Launching at Black Cap

Later on the winds settled down for some sweet glass-off. Our hotel is at the base of Black Cap and I could see the wind sock was almost straight in...it was time to get in the air again. I was first to set up and was off the hill by about 6:20pm. The above link has some last minute pictures added from this evening...still no aerial shots, but I'll get some of those sooner or later...We all landed at Hunter's as the sun was setting, just like Hat Creek...

Tomorrow conditions are calling for lighter winds, so we'll probably be comp flying again off Sugar...Friday looked like easterly winds last I checked...not sure what to make of that...

Fly safe!
